  Went beyond just fixing my son's car. Negotiated with the dealer he bought it off recently and made sure that they paid they bill for the repairs. Edit: They did all the above mentioned, negotiated directly with the dealer etc. However it seems that the dealer refused to pay for repairing all 4 of the corroded brake lines only repairing the severed brake line and the other rear one. My son drove the car for another 3 and a bit weeks down the A14 to work in winter conditions only to find out at the MOT that front brake lines had not been replaced. The DEKRA engineer was extremely shocked when we had the car examined. They may not be responsible for selling a dangerous car but they knowingly let my son drive it thinking that his brakes were safe when they weren't. Very angry doesn't cover it.
